Leslie Davis begins her second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Washington University in St. Louis cross country and track & field programs.
Davis was a four-year member of the Washington U. track & field team from 2010-13, including serving as a team captain her senior year. She was also a member of the cross country team in 2011 and 2012, after playing women's soccer in her first two years on the Danforth Campus. During Davis' junior year, her first on the cross country team, the Washington U. women won the 2011 NCAA Cross Country National Championship.
A native of Lexington, Ky., Davis was a four-year member of the soccer, cross country and track & field teams at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School from 2005-09. She graduated from Washington University in 2013 with degrees in English literature and anthropology.
Davis works as the head of sales for Janji, a running apparel company founded by two Washington U. cross country and track & field alums that donates a portion of proceeds to help fight global food and water crises.
