Stiles Awarded Third Straight Regional Coach of the Year Honor

St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 16, 2016 – Washington University in St. Louis head coach Jeff Stiles was selected as the 2016 Division III Women's Cross Country Midwest Region Coach of the Year, as announced Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

It is the third year in a row that Stiles has earned the Midwest Region Women's Coach of the Year honor, and the sixth time in the last 12 seasons. He led WashU to the Midwest Regional Championship for the third consecutive year. The Bears had five runners place in the top-25 to earn All-Region honors and win the team title by 15 points. 

The WashU men's and women's teams finish the season by competing at the 2016 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 19, in Louisville, Ky. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the men's race at 12:30 p.m.
