 Bears to Face Southern Illinois in Exhibition Game
The No. 1 Washington University women's basketball team will face NCAA Division I Southern Illinois University in an exhibition matchup on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Carbondale, Ill., at 6 p.m. The game will serve as a final warmup for Washington U. before the start of the 2009-10 season on Nov. 15.

 Women's Basketball Picked First in UAA Coaches Poll
The Washington University in St. Louis men’s and women’s basketball teams enter the season as the favorites for the third-straight season to win the University Athletic Association (UAA) championship, based on preseason polling of Association coaches. Both teams captured the 2008-09 UAA title with a 13-1 conference record.
