Dacanay Leads Division III in Assist-Turnover Ratio
Washington University women’s basketball junior point guard Shanna-Lei Dacanay ended the 2007-08 season as the NCAA Division III statistical champion in assist-turnover ratio, finishing the year with a mark of 2.83, tallying 85 assists and just 30 turnovers. Dacanay’s assist-turnover ratio not only led all of Division III, but also ranked seventh in the nation.
Women's Basketball Raises Money at Walk MS Event
The Washington University women's basketball team participated in the Walk MS fundraiser in Clayton, Mo., on Sunday April 13, raising $680 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walk MS program annually draws more than 250,000 participants in 700 cities across the country.

Alex Hoover Named to DIII News All-Freshman Team
Freshman guard Alex Hoover of the Washington University women’s basketball team was named to the DIII News 2007-08 All-Freshman Team, as announced by the publication. She earns the All-Freshman Team honor after being tabbed at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year on March 5.
