The 2009 NCAA Division III national champion volleyball team and the national runner-up women's soccer team were honored on Sunday, Feb. 7. The event features speeches from both teams, trophy presentations, and the unveiling of the national championship banner.

 Volleyball Captures 10th National Championship
The No. 4 Washington University volleyball team defeated No. 1 Juniata College, 3-1 to capture the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the DeCarlo Varsity Center in University Heights, Ohio. In the process, WU won its NCAA-record 10th national title.

 Luenemann Named AVCA National Coach of the Year
After leading the Washington University volleyball team to the 2009 NCAA Division III national championship, the 10th in school history, head coach Rich Luenemann has been named the 2009 Division III American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Coach of the Year, as announced Tuesday by the organization.
