Bears Land 13 on USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
The Washington University men’s and women’s track and field teams were each honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as 2009 All-Academic Teams, it was announced by the association. Additionally, Washington U. had a total of 13 student-athletes earn individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field honors.
Alberts and Harmon Named Academic All-District VII
Senior Alli Alberts of the Washington University in St. Louis women’s track and field team and sophomore Ben Harmon of the men’s track and field team, each earned 2009 ESPN the Magazine Second-Team Academic All-District VII Honors, as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Women's Track & Field Places Fifth at NCAA Outdoors
The Washington University women’s outdoor track and field team capped off the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with its best finish in school history, coming in fifth overall with 28 points as the three-day meet drew to a close on Saturday, May 23, in Marietta, Ohio.
