The High School ID Camp is specifically designed to introduce prospective student athletes to the WUSTL soccer program, July 12-15.
This camp's focus is on positioning and decision making in small and large group-play situations. Players are evaluated daily and camp sections are made based on ability. Player movement occurs daily based on performance. We believe the game is the best teacher so we will be playing and competing a lot. We will also have some chalk sessions to instruct players on how to see the game.
Other benefits of the camp include:
• live in the dorms and eat in the cafeterias
• meet with an admissions representative who highlights the extensive opportunities at WUSTL
• participate in a round table discussion with present WUSTL players and hear how they balance the demands of soccer, academics and social life
• interact with the WUSTL coaching staff and players during camp sessions
• meet other campers also considering WUSTL
Camp enrollment will range between 80-120 individuals. 75% of the players at camp are entering their junior or senior year in high school. On average, we have campers from 25-30 different states and a few from overseas. In the past few years we have also had campers from Egypt, France, Spain, Italy, Costa Rica and Switzerland.
