Trevor MacDonald enters his second year as the Director of Marketing and External Relations at Washington University in St. Louis. MacDonald is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the athletics marketing and promotions plan.
MacDonald comes to Washington University after earning his master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., in 2007.
He will also be the advisor of Red Alert, the student promotion group to increase student attendance at athletic events. Additionally, MacDonald will coordinate in-game promotions and performances at selected events as well as assist with the W Club Golf event.
MacDonald served as a graduate fellow in the athletics department for two years at Springfield. His responsibilities included event management supervisor, manager of the athletics store, supervisor of club sports as well as tournament director of the 17th annual athletics golf tournament.
MacDonald has also worked in the athletics marketing department at Yale University as a marketing assistant, as well as championships intern at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) headquarters in Centerville, Mass.
A Conway, N.H., native, MacDonald received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Colby College in Waterville, Maine in 2002. |
