Andrew Koch enters his third year at Washington University in St. Louis, and second as the director of facilities.

Koch, who served as assistant facility manager in 2006-07, will manage day to day operations, use and care of indoor and outdoor athletic and recreational facilities, and coordinate internal special events and game management.

Koch came to Washington University after spending the past three years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He served as the administration/event management intern in 2003-04 before being promoted to administration/event Management graduate Assistant in July 2004. Koch was also the director of parking for athletic events for two years and supervised 125 students.

A Springfield, Ill. native, Koch received his bachelor's degree in recreation, sports and tourism from the University of Illinois in 2004, and a master's degree in educational organization from University of Illinois in 2005.
