Kelly Mitchell enters her second year as an assistant athletic trainer intern at Washington University in St. Louis.
Mitchell, who spent laa year as an assistant athletic trainer at Fontbonne University, will oversee coverage for volleyball, swimming and diving and softball.
Mitchell completed her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from McKendree University in 2006, and is currently pursuing a master of arts degree in education from Fontbonne. She was a student athletic trainer at Granite City High School in 2006, and also served as a student athletic trainer at McKendree from 2003-06.
Mitchell played two seasons of basketball at McKendree and was a two-time American Midwest Conference (AMC) All-Academic Team selection. She is also an active member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
