Jeff Newcomer enters his first year as an assistant facility manager at Washington University in St. Louis.

Newcomer arrives on the Danforth Campus after finishing his master's degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus in sport administration at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2007.

He served as an event manager from 2004-07 at UW-Whitewater, while also taking on roles as an athletic operations assistant (2006-07), building supervisor (2006-07) and special events for athletics (2005-07).

A two-year letterwinner in baseball at UW-Whitewater, Newcomer was a member of the 2005 NCAA Division III National Championship team. He was also a 2005 honorable-mention all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection, and earned the UW-Whitewater Scholar-Athlete Award.

A Monroe, Wis., native, Newcomer received his bachelor's degree in physical education from UW-Whitewater in 2005, and his associate's degree from Parkland College in 2001.
