St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 25, 2019 –Washington University in St. Louis senior Paige Lawler was named the University Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Association on Monday.
Lawler paced the Bears, earning an individual seventh-place finish with a time of 21:26.1 and collecting All-American status at the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Louisville, Ky.
The No. 1-ranked WashU women's cross country team finished in second place at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. This marks the 80th time in Washington University athletics history a program has finished in the top 4 at a national championship and 12th overall for the women's cross country program.
