    A day after finishing fourth at the Midwest Regional, the Washington University in St. Louis men’s cross country team was one of 16 teams selected at-large to compete in the 2014 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 22. The WUSTL men will join the Bears’ women’s team, who earned an automatic bid to the national meet by winning the Midwest Regional.

    The Washington University in St. Louis men’s cross country team begins the 2014 season ranked No. 10 in the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country National Coaches Poll released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Washington U. women just missed cracking the top-10 with a No. 11 ranking in the women’s preseason poll.

    The Washington University in St. Louis men’s cross country team posted the highest national finish of any Washington University program in 2013-14, finishing in the top-five for the third year in a row at the 2013 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships held Nov. 23 at Hanover, Ind. It also marked the fifth consecutive top-10 finish for the program.
