WashU Volleyball Announces Class of 2023

St. Louis, Mo., August 13, 2019 – The Washington University in St. Louis volleyball program announced the class of 2023, a group of seven student-athletes from five different states.

The Bears incoming class includes individuals from California, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota and Tennessee. Eve Baxter (Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard Westlake and The Oaks), Alaina Bohrer (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina), Amanda Gild (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody), Taryn Gurbach (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Chadwick School), Julie Keener (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin), Kathy Lopez (Aurora, Ill./Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy) and Megan Lucey (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prep) make up the class of 2023.

"I am really looking forward to adding our 2023 recruits to the program," said head coach Vanessa Walby. "I think they are excited and appreciative to be a part of something special at WashU. They truly are a hardworking group with enormous potential. I look forward to seeing how they leave their mark on our campus and within our program."
