St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 3, 2015 - The No. 3-ranked Washington University in St. Louis is set to travel to Rochester, N.Y., to compete at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship Friday-Saturday at the University of Rochester.
The Bears (29-2), who earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament, take on seventh-seeded New York University (15-16) in the quarterfinal round at Noon (ET) Friday. Third-seeded Case Western Reserve University (22-6) faces No. 6 seed Rochester (15-15) in the other quarterfinal on WashU's side of the bracket. The winners of those two matches will square off in the semifinals at 4 p.m. (ET) Friday, while the consolation match will be at 6 p.m.
The third-, fifth- and seventh-place matches are scheduled for 10 a.m. (ET) Saturday, with the UAA Championship set for 1 p.m.
WashU has advanced to the UAA Championship match 25 times in school history, winning 20 conference titles. The Bears are looking for their first UAA Championship since 2011.
