Griffith and Ho Earn ITA All-America Honors


St. Louis, Mo., June 8, 2017 — Washington University in St. Louis seniors Kaylan Griffith and Rebecca Ho were named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's All-America Team, as announced Thursday by the organization.

Griffith and Ho earned All-America honors in doubles after winning the 2016 USTA/ITA Central Region Championship in the fall. The duo placed third at the ITA Oracle Cup in October and was also selected to participate in the 2017 NCAA Division III Doubles Championship in May. Griffith and Ho ended their season with a 24-11 record.

Ho also earned All-America honors in singles after marching all the way to the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship match before falling in three sets to two-time defending champion Eudice Chong of Wesleyan. Ho, the 2017 ITA National Senior Player of the Year, was the first women's tennis player in school history to play for a singles national title. 

Ho and Griffith were ranked No. 8 in the final Oracle/ITA Division III doubles rankings, while Ho was ranked No. 2 in singles.

Griffith recorded a 34-27 record in her final season on the Danforth Campus. She finished her career tied for 23rd in career victories in school history with 103, 41-32 in singles and 62-23 in doubles.

Ho concluded the 2016-17 season with a 57-15 record, including a 33-4 mark in singles. A seven-time All-America selection, she graduates as WashU's all-time wins' leader with a 191-58 career record.

WashU made its second-straight and fifth NCAA quarterfinal appearance and ended its season with a 14-11 record.
