St. Louis, Mo., May 10, 2017 — Seniors Rebecca Ho and Kaylan Griffith were selected to represent the No. 11-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team at the 2017 NCAA Division III Individual Championships, which are scheduled for May 25-27 at The Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Ho was one of 32 individuals selected to compete in the singles championship, and she and Griffith were one of 16 doubles teams selected to compete at the championship. It marks the fourth year in a row Ho will compete at the NCAA Doubles Championships, and the third-straight year in singles.
Ho enters the postseason as the top-ranked singles player in the Central Region and No. 4 in NCAA Division III. She has recorded a 28-3 singles record this season, including a 19-2 mark at No. 1 singles. Ho is also 12-2 this season against ranked opponents.
Ho and Griffith have a 22-9 mark while playing No. 1 doubles, and are ranked No. 1 in the Central Region and No. 3 in NCAA Division III. The duo won the USTA/ITA Central Region Doubles Championship in the Fall.
WashU (12-10) received at at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will take on the winner of John Carroll and Concordia-Wisconsin Friday in the second round at 2:30 p.m. in Whitewater, Wis.
The draw for the individual championship will be released on the last day of the team championship, which is scheduled for May 22-24.
