St. Louis, Mo., May 11, 2016 — Junior Rebecca Ho was selected to represent the No. 10-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team at the 2016 NCAA Division III Individual Championships, which are scheduled for May 26-28 at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Ho was one of 32 individuals selected to compete in the singles championship. It marks the third year in a row Ho will compete at the NCAA Individual Championships. She competed in doubles in 2014, and both singles and doubles a year ago.
Ho enters the postseason as the top-ranked singles player in the Central Region. She has posted a 20-5 singles record this season, including an 18-4 mark at No. 1 singles. Ho has won 12-straight singles matches and is 11-4 against ranked opponents.
WashU (15-8) will host the St. Louis Regional of the 2016 NCAA Division III Championship Thursday-Saturday, May 12-14 at Tao Tennis Center. The Bears are the top seed in the six-team regional and the No. 8 overall seed in the NCAA Championship. WashU received a first-round bye and will take on the winner of No. 22-ranked Denison University (14-7) and Concordia University (Wis.) (21-6) at Noon on Friday.
The draw for the individual championship will be released on the last day of the team championship, which is scheduled for May 23-25.
