No. 9 Women’s Tennis Finishes Third at Midwest Invitational

Madison, Wis., April 2, 2016 – The No. 9-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team split two matches Saturday to finish in third place at the Midwest Invitational.

The Bears came up short in a 5-4 loss to No. 26 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the semifinal, before defeating Kenyon College 5-2 in the third-place match. Junior Rebecca Ho posted a 4-0 record on the day, including two wins over ranked opponents in the loss to UW-Whitewater.

The Bears will face No. 22 Case Western Reserve University at 10 a.m., followed by a match against No. 15 University of Chicago at 2 p.m.
