Coran and Ho Place Eighth at USTA/ITA Small College Nationals

Sumter, S.C., Oct. 16, 2015 – Washington University in St. Louis senior Aly Coran and junior Rebecca Ho concluded their fall season by finishing eighth in NCAA Division III doubles at the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships Friday at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

Coran and Ho joined Rathi Mani and Kat Copiozo (2001), and Rathi Mani and Lauren Zwick (2003) as just the third doubles team in school history to represent WashU at the National Small College Championships. By winning the ITA Central Regional and advancing to the National Small College Championships, Coran and Ho will be the fifth doubles team in school history to receive ITA All-America honors.

The duo fell to Madie Benn and Michelle Fuca of Skidmore College (6-1, 6-1) Friday afternoon, before coming up short against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Alicia Beck and Jillian Wallace (7-5, 6-2) to finish eighth at the National Small College Championships.

The National Small College Championships marks the end of the fall season for the WashU women's tennis team. The Bears are scheduled to begin their spring season with a dual match at NCAA Division II University of Southern Indiana Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016.
