No. 9 WashU Places Third at Eighth Annual Spring Invite

St. Louis, Mo., April 7, 2019 – The No. 9-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team dropped 11 strokes from its day one total and improved to third overall at the conclusion of the Eighth Annual WUSTL Spring Invitational at Tapawingo Golf Club.

The Bears two day total of 629 (320, 309) earned a third place finish in a field of 15 teams including four additional NCAA Division III Top-25 ranked programs.

Junior Emily Carnes and freshman Julia Dai led the Bears with two-day totals of 156. Carnes posted matching 78s on both days while Dai had an 80 following yesterday's 76.

Senior Chloe DiPetrillo had the Bears top second round score, firing a two-over 74. She finished tied for 21st with a 157 (83, 74). Freshman Lydia Tsai had the Bears second best score on Sunday with a five-over 77 and totaled 162 (85, 77) during the tournament.

Senior Sabrina Ho finished tied for 42nd totaling 164 strokes (83, 81). Dai tallied the second most pars with 25 on the weekend, while Carnes, DiPetrillo, Ho and Tsai tied for the Bears lead with three birdies.
