Women’s Golf Opens Spring Schedule at UAA Championship

Hammock Beach, Fla., March 12, 2018 – The No. 4-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team opened its spring portion of the schedule Monday in Florida with a first round score of 334 at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golf Championship.

The Bears trail No. 1 New York University (315) and No. 11 Carnegie Mellon University (329) after the first day of action in the three team field.

Junior Hanna Jia and sophomores Samantha Haubenstock and Emily Carnes are tied for ninth place on the leaderboard with an 11-over par 83. Senior Erin Drolet and freshman Gigi Garcia are tied for 16th after a round one score of 85.

Golfing as individuals from the WashU squad were junior Sabrina Ho (87) and sophomore Angelica Harris (90).
