Haubenstock in Top-10 After Day One at NCAA Championship

Houston, Texas, May 9, 2017 – Freshman Samantha Haubenstock of the No. 15-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team fired a two-over 74 during the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at Bay Oaks Country Club on Tuesday.

Haubenstock entered the tournament as the No. 12 ranked individual in Division III on the season. After the first round she is tied for sixth place after firing four bogies, 12 pars and two birdies.

She birdied on the par-5 11th hole and the par-3 14th hole. She is tied for the top scoring average on par-5 and par-3 holes, averaging 4.75 strokes on par-5's and 2.75 on par-3's.
