WashU Places 1st Among DIII Teams at Kathy Niepagen Invite

Normal, Ill., April 15, 2017 – The No. 16 Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team placed second in the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling hosted by Illinois Wesleyan after completing the rain shortened round one in the morning and carrying onto round two in the afternoon Saturday.

The Bears finished the tournament with 623 (301-322) while Indiana Tech placed first with a score of 609 (300-309).

Freshman Angelica Harris tied for second place with a seven-over par 151 (75-76) to earn all-tournament honors. Junior Erin Drolet also earned all-tournament honors by placing ninth with a score of 154 (75-79).

Rounding out the Bears lineup were freshman Samantha Haubenstock (156, 73-83), sophomore Chloe DiPetrillo (162, 78-84) and senior Jessica Wibawa (163, 79-84).

Sophomore Hanna Jia played as an individual during the tournament firing a 157 (75-82).
