No. 21 Women’s Golf Leads UAA Championship After Day One

Sorrento, Fla., March 11, 2017 – The No. 21-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team shot its way to a first day lead during the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday in Sorrento, Fla.

The Bears shot 339 on day one finishing five strokes ahead of New York University (344) and 20 ahead of Carnegie Mellon University (359).

Freshman Samantha Haubenstock led the Bears with an 80 score. Junior Erin Drolet and freshman Angelica Harris finished with opening round scores of 84. Sophomore Chloe DiPetrillo shot a 91 and sophomore Hanna Jia shot a 93 to round out the Bears lineup.
