Women’s Golf Announces Class of 2018

St. Louis, Mo., July 28, 2014 – Washington University in St. Louis women's golf coach Sean Curtis announced that three student-athletes will join the Bears' program for the 2014-15 season.

The three players hail from three different states: Erin Drolet, Carson Platnick and Emily Romanow.

"We are really thrilled to add another great recruiting class to our program.  All three of our new student-athletes bring a great deal of very competitive experiences with them from high school and junior golf," said Curtis, the 2012 and 2014 Division III Eaton Pride NGCA National Coach of the Year. "We are looking forward to them bringing their winning attitudes with them to our team. I think they will be a good fit for our program."

Washington University posted a seventh-place finish at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championship, the second-highest finish in school history. The Bears were ranked No. 1 in the Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) coaches' poll for the first time in school history and placed in the top-five in nine of 11 tournaments played.
