#9: Women's Golf Ranked No. 1 for First Time in School History

St. Louis, Mo., July 3, 2014 – For the first time in school history, the Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team achieved a No. 1 ranking in the Golf World/Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division III Top-25 Poll, announced April 2.

The Bears posted a seventh-place finish at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championship, the second-highest finish in school history. Washington U. placed in the top-five in nine of 11 tournaments played, and tied a single-season school record with six wins. Freshman Xin Fang, junior Olivia Lugar and sophomore Connie Zhou were named to the 2014 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division III All-America Team.
