Women’s Golf Tied for Lead at DePauw Small College Classic
Greencastle, Ind., Sept. 28, 2013 – The No. 5 ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team is tied for the lead with No. 4 DePauw University after an opening round 315 Saturday at the DePauw Small College Classic in Greencastle, Ind.
Washington U. had three of its five starters shoot 80 or lower, led by sophomore Connie Zhou's season-low 75. No. 15 Wittenberg University (326), Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (335) and North Central College (337) round out the top five in the 10-team field. Paige Gooch of host DePauw has a four-stroke lead in the individual standings after an opening round one-under 71 (38-33).
