Homoly Heads Overseas for Master’s Degree and Basketball

St. Louis, Mo., August 2, 2019 – Madeline Homoly, a 2019 Washington University in St. Louis women's basketball graduate, has announced that she will attend Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) next year to pursue a master's degree in cognitive and clinical neuroscience while competing for the two-time defending national champion British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL).

ARU is located in England and Homoly will be on the campus of Cambridge. ARU's head coach is Matthew Harber.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity to both further my education and continue my athletic career," Homoly said. "I look forward to bringing my basketball shoes out of their brief retirement."

Homoly was a Second Team All-America selection by D3hoops.com this season after compiling career-best totals in points per game (17.0) and field goal shooting percentage (53.4) in addition to leading the team in rebounding (7.4 reb/g). She also contributed 40 assists, 36 steals and 12 blocks. The Kansas City, Mo.-native is the Bears sixth leading scorer in program history with 1,362 points.
