St. Louis, Mo., March 16, 2019 – Senior forward Madeline Homoly was selected to the D3hoops.com All-America Second Team, as announced by the website prior to Saturday's NCAA Division III National Championship game Saturday evening.
Homoly is a three-time D3hoops.com All-Central Region selection and the 2019 University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year. She previously earned All-America honors in 2017 following her sophomore campaign and first year in a Bears uniform.
In 2019, Homoly led the Bears with 492 points and 214 rebounds for an average of 17 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest. The Kansas City, Mo.-native shot a career-high 53.4 percent from the field while also contributing 40 assists, 36 steals and 12 blocks.
Homoly is the sixth player in program history to garner D3hoops.com All-America honors as the Bears have combined for 10 accolades from the organization. A total of 16 Bears have garnered 51 All-America honors from various organizations dating back to 1990-91 season.
She concludes her career as the sixth leading scorer in WashU program history with 1,362 points and 10th in rebounds with 610 boards after three seasons on the Danforth campus.
