Washington University in St. Louis women's basketball had two notable selections by D3hoops.com All-Central Region team with senior forward Madeline Homoly garnering First Team honors and head coach Randi Henderson being named the Central Region Coach of the Year.

Homoly earned First Team All-Region honors for the third consecutive season and is just the fourth Bear this decade to average 17 or more points per game in a season. The University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year finished 2018-19 with averages of 17 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 53.4 percent from the field.

The Kansas City, Mo.-native is sixth all-time in WashU program scoring history with 1,362 points. Homoly also ranks 10th in Bear history with 610 rebounds and is one of only eight in program history to reach 1,000 points and 600 rebounds.

WashU finished the 2018-19 campaign with a 22-7 record, including a 17-2 stretch which carried the Bears all the way to the NCAA Division III Sectional Final Round against No. 1-ranked Thomas More. Henderson and her staff were also named the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year after WashU clinched its 24th UAA Title in program history with a 13-1 conference mark. The Central Region Coach of the Year honor by D3hoops.com is a first for coach Henderson as she has previously won the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) West Region Coach of the Year in 2010 with Coe College.
