St. Louis, Mo., March 7, 2019 – Beyond Sports and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced that Washington University in St. Louis senior forward Madeline Homoly has been selected to participate in the inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA.
The 18 all-stars were chosen by a committee of head women's basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, who are also members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches. The final two participants will be selected by fans from a list of eight nominees.
The inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game will be played at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Va., on Saturday, March 16 immediately preceding the 2019 NCAA Division III women's basketball national championship game. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. (ET).
Homoly has started all 27 games this season and is averaging 16.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 54.0 percent from the field. She was named the 2019 University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year and was also a first-team all-conference selection.
The Kansas City, Mo.-native scored in double figures during 21 of the Bears contests this season, including 20 or more in 10 games. She is the 14th player in the Bears program to reach 1,000 points in her career, and ranks seventh in school history with 1,325 points.
