Madeline Homoly Earns UAA Athlete of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 7, 2019 – Washington University in St. Louis senior forward Madeline Homoly was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week, as announced by the association Monday.

Homoly earned her third UAA athlete of the week honor this season and ninth of her career while helping the Bears to an 85-66 victory over No. 8 University of Chicago on Saturday. WashU claimed its first win over a top-25 opponent this season during its season opening UAA contest.

The Kansas City, Mo.-native recorded 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 shooting from the free-throw line. In addition, Homoly totaled five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory that snapped a two-game skid against the Maroons.
