Henderson Announces Women’s Hoops Class of 2022

St. Louis, Mo., July 13, 2018 – Washington University in St. Louis head women's basketball coach Randi Henderson announced that three student-athletes will join the Bears' program during the 2018-19 season.

All three will be changing locations as they come from different states: Isabelle Hren, Longmont, Colo. (Holy Family), Hayley Semple, Park Ridge, Ill. (Maine South) and Samantha Weaver, Apex, N.C. (Holly Springs).

"We are so excited for Samantha, Izzy, and Hayley to be a part of our program," shared Henderson. "All three are very different players, but each of them will bring a high level of competitiveness, a championship mindset, and athleticism helping our program continue to evolve and elevate on a national level.

On top of the impact they will have at this university as athletes, teammates and leaders, these three women are committed in the classroom. Samantha, Izzy, and Hayley are coming to WashU with the same ambitions, to be scholar-athletes hunting championships. We are so lucky to have them joining the Bear family!"

During Henderson's first season at the helm for the Bears, WashU finished 19-8 overall with a 9-5 record in University Athletic Association (UAA) play. WashU was selected as an at-large bid last season, earning the 29th-consecutive NCAA Tournament bid for the program.
