ON THE SCHEDULE THIS WEEK No. 23 WashU hosts Hendrix College (7-2) and University of Wisconsin-Platteville (4-5) on the Dec. 29 weekend. Hendrix won six games in a row before losing 57-53 Dec. 19 to University of Dallas. UW-Platteville faces Fontbonne University on Friday before a 2 p.m. tip-off against the Bears on Saturday, Dec. 30.

HISTORY VS. OPPOSITION WashU defeated Hendrix in 2011 during its only previous encounter, as the Bears posted a 62-52 score over the Warriors. The Red & Green have a 2-0 record all-time against UW-Platteville including an 89-58 win last season.

FROM DOWNTOWN WashU has the top 3-point field goal percentage in Division III, hitting 44.2-percent of its shots from beyond the arc. Junior forward Stephanie Botkin's 66.7-percent leads the University Athletic Association (UAA), while junior guard Rachael Sondag ranks fifth in the country with 3.75 three-pointers made per game in addition to 15th nationally with a 48.4-percent clip.

TOP-20 OFFENSIVE RANKINGS As a team the Bears offense ranks within the top-20 of Division III in multiple offensive categories including first in 3-point field goal percentage (44.2%), fourth in assists per game (20.9), fourth in field goal percentage (47.8%), 11th in total assists (188), 13th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.29) and 14th in three-pointers made per game (8.4).

• A LOOK AT THE NUMBERS A look at the numbers reveals that early season indicators towards Bears success are rebounds and shooting percentage. The Bears are unbeaten with a 5-0 record when they outrebound opponents and they have also won all six games in which they have shot better than 45-percent from the field. WashU also improved to 4-0 when junior forward Madeline Homoly scores 20 or more points.

EXCLUSIVE 800 CLUB The Bears celebrated their 800th win in program history on Nov. 25 and are one of just seven teams to accomplish that feat in Division III. Ultimately the Bears are 805-198 (.802). Other programs also with 800 wins are Husson, Elizabethtown, St. John Fisher, Southern Maine, Scranton and Hope. The Bears also celebrated their 400th victory on the Danforth Campus with an 83-56 win over Greenville on Dec. 6. WashU has an all-time 400-37 (.915) home record.
