Coach of the Year Honor Highlights Regional Honors

St. Louis, Mo., May 22, 2019 – The Washington University in St. Louis outdoor track & field team had 19 Bears earn 24 Midwest All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and head coach Jeff Stiles was named the Midwest Region Women's Coach of the Year.

Stiles earns the honor after helping WashU claim its fourth straight University Athletic Association (UAA) title. The Bears won five events at the UAA Championships and enters the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships with 12 entries.

The No. 1-ranked WashU women had nine women garner 12 All-Region accolades, while the No. 5-ranked WashU men had 10 men earn 12 All-Region nods.

Nick Matteucci – 1,500m

Marco Quaroni – 3,000m Steeplechase

Arthur Santoro – 800m

Jack Sebok – 3,000m Steeplechase

Jason Singer – 4x400m Relay

John Harry Wagner – 400m and 4x400m Relay

Andrew Whitaker – 4x400m Relay and 110m Hurdles

Eddie Wintergalen – 4x400m Relay

WOMEN

Julia Dannenbaum – Pole Vault

Eka Jose – Long Jump and Triple Jump

Heidi Nassos – Pole Vault and Triple Jump

Jay Pittman – 100m Hurdles

Natalie Rogus – 1,500m

Molly Shepherd – 3,000m Steeplechase

Caira Watson Haynes – 100m Hurdles

Sophie Watterson – 10,000m

Aly Wayne – 5,000m and 10,000m
