Bears Post Several Personal and Season Bests at Dr. Keeler

Naperville, Ill., May 9, 2019 – The nationally ranked Washington University in St. Louis outdoor track & field team posted several personal and season-best times/marks during day one of the Dr. Keeler Invitational Thursday evening in Naperville, Ill.


Senior Heidi Nassos posted a personal-best 3.97m pole vault height which was the lone event title for the Bears on day one. Her height is tied for second in Division III and is the second best in school history.

Graduate student Aly Wayne ran to a second place finish in the 5,000m run. She crossed the finish line with DIII's eighth fastest time of the year, 16:54.89.

The women's 4x400m relay team consisting of freshman Alicia Gupte, sophomore Elle Hansen, freshman Ava Forman and sophomore Rachel Novick placed fourth by nearly posting a season-best time of 3:55.68.

Senior Lisa Gorham ran to a personal-best 10,000m time of 36:53.88, which garnered a sixth place finish overall.


Senior Brad Hodkinson posted a nationally competitive mark in the 5,000m run. He placed fifth overall with a time of 14:25.31, during his first attempt in the event as a Bear since earning All-American honors during the indoor season.

Senior Tim Goblirsch had a top-10 finish in the men's pole vault. He cleared 4.48m and placed sixth overall.
