St. Louis, Mo., May 9, 2019 – The Washington University in St. Louis outdoor track & field coaching staff was honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as the Men's and Women's Coaching Staff of the Year following the Bears sweep of the 2019 UAA titles.
Head coach Jeff Stiles as well as assistant coaches Lane Lohr, Kelli Blake, Jill Harmon, Jonathan Koch, Kyle Laker, Gordon Reiter and Raven Robinson were honored as members of the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year.
The No. 5-ranked WashU women tallied 233.5 points to win the 2019 UAA Outdoor T&F title. The Bears finished with a 77 point gap between their total and the runner-ups. The WashU women swept the indoor and outdoor titles for the fourth time under coach Stiles, previously doing so in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
The No. 8-ranked WashU men finished with a 64 point advantage between they and the runner-up, totaling 232 points for the 2019 UAA Outdoor T&F title. Stiles and staff were awarded the outdoor coaching staff of the year honors for the second straight year and the ninth time overall.
