WashU Reins In First Place Finishes at Bushyhead Track

St. Louis, Mo., March 30, 2019 – The Washington University in St. Louis track & field program scored a pair of first place finishes during the WashU Invitational Saturday afternoon at Bushyhead Track.

The No. 5 WashU women's team totaled 220 points, nearly 100 points more than the runner-up. The No. 13 WashU men's team scored 174 points which outscored the closest finisher by 46 points.

The Bears battled through heavy rain and combined to total 14 first place finishes, as multiple events were cancelled due to wet or windy conditions. Both the men and women finished with seven first place efforts apiece.
