WashU Qualifies 11 for Indoor Track & Field Championship

St. Louis, Mo., March 6, 2017 – Washington University in St. Louis will send 11 student-athletes to the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships scheduled Friday-Saturday, March 10-11, in Naperville, Ill.

Representing the Bears will be seniors Kelli Hancock, Everett Kleven, Ashley Knudson, Daisy Ogede, Deko Ricketts and Rebecca Ridderhoff; juniors Alison Lindsay, Annalise Wagner and Audrey Western; sophomore Heidi Nassos; and freshman Nicky Althoff

Five of the WashU women will compete individually. Ogede will run in three events after qualifying third in all three: 60, 60 hurdles and 200. Ridderhoff will also race in three events including the 60H, 200 and 400. Lindsay qualified second for the 3,000 while Wagner will run the 800 and Nassos qualified in pole vault.

Running the 4x400 prelims for WashU will be Ridderhoff, Althoff, Wagner and Ogede after the team of Ridderhoff, Hancock, Knudson and Ogede qualified with Division III's top time this season. The women's distance medley relay will consist of Western, Hancock, Knudson and Lindsay. The Bears' DMR team also clocked the top time this year. 

Qualifying on the men's side were Ricketts and Kleven. Ricketts will run the 800 after qualifying second while Kleven will represent the WashU men in pole vault.

1:30 p.m.: Women's 60 Hurdles (prelims) – Ogede, Ridderhoff

2:00 p.m.: Women's 400 (prelims) – Ridderhoff

2:35 p.m.: Women's 60 (prelims) - Ogede

3:00 p.m.: Women's Pole Vault (finals) – Nassos

3:05 p.m.: Women's 800 (prelims) – Wagner

3:20 p.m.: Men's 800 (prelims) – Ricketts

3:30 p.m.: Women's 200 (prelims) – Ogede

4:45 p.m.: Women's 4x400 Relay (prelims) – Ridderhoff, Althoff, Wagner, Ogede

5:15 p.m.: Women's Distance Medley Relay (finals) – Western, Hancock, Knudson, Lindsay

Saturday, March 11

1:35 p.m.: Women's 60 Hurdles (finals) – Ogede, Ridderhoff

2:05 p.m.: Women's 400 (finals) – Ridderhoff

2:45 p.m.: Women's 60 (finals) – Ogede

3:15 p.m.: Women's 800 (finals) – Wagner

3:25 p.m.: Men's 800 (finals) – Ricketts

3:35 p.m.: Women's 200 (finals) – Ogede

4:00 p.m.: Women's 3,000 (finals) – Lindsay
