St. Louis, Mo., May 31, 2016 — Senior Emily Warner was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Warner garnered UAA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season and seventh time in her career after earning three All-America citations at the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship held May 26-28 in Waverly, Iowa. She helped the Bears to a third-place team finish, tied for its highest finish in school history.
In the final race of the meet, she teamed with juniors Kelli Hancock and Rebecca Ridderhoff and sophomore Annalise Wagner for an NCAA Runner-Up finish in the 4x400 relay with a school-record time of 3:44.06. Warner also recorded a fourth-place finish in the 800, and was part of the 4x100 relay team that placed sixth.
She concluded her career with eight All-America finishes – two indoor and six outdoor.
