Michael Lagieski continues his run with the Bears transitioning to an assistant coach during the 2017-18 season after a stellar four year career as a student-athlete.
Lagieski was a 15-time All-American, 18-time All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree as well as the UAA Swimmer and Rookie of the Year in 2014. He earned the 2014 100 breaststroke NCAA Division III National Championship.
In addition, Lagieski was a United States Olympic Team Trials Qualifier in 2016. He is the WashU record holder in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.
The Menasha, Wis.-native completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from WashU in 2017.
