Nathenson Posts Career Best Score at UAA Championships

Chicago, Ill., Feb. 8, 2017 – Junior Ryan Nathenson of the Washington University in St. Louis swimming and diving team scored 24 points for the Bears in the opening one-meter dive with a sixth place finish during the University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday evening.

During the afternoon prelimaries, Nathenson placed seventh with a score of 403.85. He improved on the score during the finals to move into a sixth place finish with a career-best 407.90 score.

Connor Brisson of New York University won the UAA one-meter title with a record breaking 586.55 score during the finals.

The UAA Swimming & Diving Championships continue Thursday with the 200 freestyle relay, 500 free, 200 individual medley, 50 free and the women's three-meter diving. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals set to start at 5:30 p.m.
