St. Louis, Mo., October 31, 2013 – The Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming & diving team is ranked No. 4 and the WUSTL men are ranked No. 8 in the first Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Division III Top 25 of the season, as announced by the website.
The defending NCAA Division III champions were first in both polls – Emory University women and Kenyon College men. The Endless Pools rankings reflect each team's top performances over the preceding month.
On the women's side, the University Athletic Association (UAA) accounted for four of the top-five schools. In addition to top-ranked Emory and No. 4 Washington U., New York University (No. 3), Carnegie Mellon University (No. 5) and University of Rochester (No. 8) each earned top-10 rankings, while Case Western Reserve University was No. 17. Six UAA men's teams were also represented in the ranking. In addition to eighth-ranked WUSTL, Emory (No. 2), NYU (No. 3), Carnegie Mellon (No. 4), Case Western Reserve (No. 10) and Rochester (No. 11) were also included.
The Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams host DePauw University in their second home meet of the season at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Millstone Pool.
