Men’s Tennis Has Pair Ranked Nationally by ITA

INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS

St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 3, 2018 – The Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team had a pair of student-athletes ranked in the 2018-19 Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III National Singles Rankings, as announced by the organization Monday.

Sophomore Ethan Hillis is ranked No. 6 in singles, while junior Bernardo Neves is ranked No. 32. 

Hillis won the ITA Central Region Singles Championship and placed fifth at the ITA Division III Cup in October. He enters the spring season with a 9-1 singles record.

Neves posted a 4-1 record and advanced to the ITA Central Region Quarterfinals in the Fall. He has a 55-16 overall singles mark in three seasons.

WashU opens the spring season on Saturday, Feb. 9, with a pair of matches at NCAA Division I Butler and NCAA Division II Indianapolis.

The first set of national team rankings will be released on January 17, 2019.
