WashU Drops Pair of Matches at Individual Championships

Chattanooga, Tenn., May 25, 2017 — Washington University in St. Louis dropped both of its first round matches Thursday at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships held at The Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Junior Johnny Wu suffered a 6-0, 7-5 defeat to Avery Schobert of Sewanee in the first round of the singles championship on Thursday. Wu concluded the season with a 15-14 record record in singles.

In doubles, junior Jason Haugen and sophomore Konrad Kozlowski fell in its opening round match to No. 2 seed William de Quant and Lubomir Cuba of Middlebury College 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. The duo ends the season with a 16-11 record.
