Jeff Pomranka enters his 12th season as an assistant men's soccer coach at Washington University in St. Louis in 2014.
In addition to his college coaching duties, Pomranka also served as head coach of the University City High School boys' soccer team from 1996-2000. He also held the same position at University City for the girls' squad from 1997-2004.
Pomranka played four seasons in goal on the Danforth Campus, helping the 1987 squad to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Tournament. He was the starting goalkeeper as a senior at Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he received High School All-America, Colorado Player of the Year and Team MVP honors in 1985. Prior to completing his high school career at Doherty, Pomranka lived in Germany for nine years, and started two years in goal at Kaiserslautern American High School.
A 1991 graduate of Washington University, Pomranka earned his bachelor's degree in psychology. He currently work as the Director of Enrollment at University City Children's Center. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters: Olivia (13) and Mia (10).
