Hazlewood Represents Guyana at U20 Championship

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 20, 2020 – Freshman midfielder Hudson Hazlewood of the Washington University in St. Louis men's soccer team is representing the country of Guyana at the Concacaf U20 Men's Championship on Feb. 15-23 in Nicaragua.

Guyana posted a 6-0 victory over Montserrat in the opening match, and then shutout Saint Vincent & the Grenadines 3-0 in the second match. Hazlewood has appeared in the starting lineup in both contests for Guyana.

The teams will compete for four of the 20 berths in the 2020 Concacaf U-20 Championship final tournament. 

Hazlewood saw action as a freshman on the junior varsity squad for WashU in 2019, and also appeared in one varsity game for the Bears. He is enrolled in the College of the Arts & Sciences, and is the son of Dexter and Jocelyn Hazlewood.
