NEW YORK SERIES NOTES – WashU leads the all-time series with NYU, 47-15, and has won five-straight meetings between the two teams.
BRANDEIS SERIES NOTES – WashU leads the all-time series with Brandeis, 48-12, and the Bears have won 11 of the last 12 meetings.
SETTING A RECORD – WashU tied a single-game school record by hitting 17 three-pointers in a 93-62 upset win over No. 12-ranked University of Rochester Jan. 13 at home. The Bears also hit 17 threes in a 104-69 win over Fontbonne on Dec. 17, 2005.
HEAD COACH PAT JUCKEM – WashU head coach Pat Juckem (Lawrence, 1995) was named the 24th men's basketball coach in program history on May 1, 2018. Juckem arrived on the Danforth Campus after spending the past six seasons as the head coach at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He compiled a 95-73 (.565) record at UW-Oshkosh. He also spent seven seasons at Coe (2006-12), and has a 207-159 (.566) overall record in 14 seasons as a head coach.
BEAR TRACKS – Junior center Hank Hunter leads the UAA in field-goal percentage (.645) and is fifth in rebounding (7.9).
– The Bears rank first in the UAA and 18th in Division III in free-throw percentage at 77.2, and are on pace to break the single-season school record of 74.2 percent set in the 2006-07 season.
– As a team, WashU also leads the UAA in field-goal percentage (.483) and rebounding defense (31.6).
– WashU is shooting 39.4 percent beyond the arc in eight victories, compared to 29.3 percent in six losses. The Bears also have a +10.3-rebounding margin in wins and a -3.3 in losses.
– Sophomore guard Jack Nolan averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game as WashU split a pair of games at home last week. Nolan had a season-high 25 points on 7-of-9 three-point shooting in a 93-62 upset win over No. 12 Rochester Sunday.
