WashU Travels to No. 23 Case for Halloween Day Matchup

St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 27, 2015 – The Washington University in St. Louis football team (5-2, 4-2 SAA) opens a two-game road trip at No. 23-ranked Case Western Reserve University (6-1, 6-0 PAC) on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for Noon (ET) in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Bears have won three-straight contests, and moved into a tied for third place in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) standings) with a 70-32 win over Millsaps College Oct. 24 in St. Louis.

THE SERIES - WashU leads the all-time series with Case, 20-9, and the Bears have won the last three meetings. WashU has won the last two meetings at DiSanto Field - a 14-13 victory in 2010 and a 10-7 win in 2012.

THE COACHES -  Head coach Larry Kindbom (Kalamazoo, 1974) is in his 27th season at WashU, compiling a record of 165-103 (.616). His 165 wins rank him as the all-time winningest coach at WashU. Overall, in 33 seasons, Kindbom is 193-133-1 (.592), and is the fifth-winningest active NCAA Division III head coach.

Case Western Reserve head coach Greg Debeljak (John Carroll, 1988) is 81-38 (.681) in 12 seasons as a collegiate head coach, all at Case Western Reserve. Debeljak was named Case's head coach on March 24, 2004.

A WIN OVER CASE WOULD...
• Be WashU's fourth-consecutive over Case and third-straight in Cleveland.
• Improve WashU's overall record to 6-2, its best start to a season since 2013.
• Be the Bears' fourth-straight win this season.

UAA DOMINANCE – WashU has won a conference-best 10 UAA titles, and is 59-30 (.663) all-time in league play. The Bears had a UAA-best 15-game winning streak from 2001-04.
