Football Announces Class of 2018

St. Louis, Mo., July 14, 2014 – Washington University in St. Louis head football coach Larry Kindbom will welcome 36 new faces to the football program this fall for the opening of camp Monday, Aug. 14.

"I am excited about the freshman class we have before us. Our incoming group, representing 17 states, brings with it size, speed, and talent. Many were captains on their teams, and several were multi-sport athletes. As a group, they are as strong academically as any of the groups we brought through our doors," said Kindbom, the winningest coach in school history with a 156-95 (.622) overall record at Washington University.

The Class of 2018 features representatives from 19 different states, including nine players from Illinois, four from California and three from Florida and Missouri.

Washington University finished the 2013 season with an 8-3 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the first time since 1999 and second time in school history. The Bears also won their 10th University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship with a 3-0 record.
